時間を定量的な「情報」として捉える従来の時計とは異なり、ST CLOCK は、時間の解像度を下げ、素材同士の響き合いによって空間との繋がりを持たせます。ST CLOCK を象徴するのが、精密な切削技術により 90 度に立ち上がる構造体として制作された真鍮製の針です。この針は、光を受け止め本体に影を落とし、本体の素材を映しとることで、空間と関係性を持ちます。
本体は、竜山石を使用したキューブ型の立体と、希少なミャンマー産チークの台座の組み合わせ。竜山石は、火山灰が長い時間をかけて圧密されて生まれた凝灰岩で、兵庫県高砂市周辺の限られた地域でのみ採掘される希少な石材です。石と木の二つの立体は固定されておらず、一つでは自立しない構造を持っています。異素材同士が互いの存在を保ち独特のバランスと存在感を放ちます。

Unlike conventional clocks that perceive time as quantitative “information,” ST CLOCK lowers the resolution of time, forming a connection with the surrounding space through the resonance between materials.
At its core is a brass hand—crafted as a structural element rising at a precise 90-degree angle through fine machining. Catching light, it casts shadows onto the body and subtly mirrors the character of the material, allowing it to engage with the space around it.
The piece consists of a cube-shaped form made of Tatsuyama stone paired with a base crafted from rare Myanmar teak.
Tatsuyama stone is a tuff created from volcanic ash compressed over long periods of time, quarried only in limited areas around Takasago City in Hyogo Prefecture.
The two forms—stone and wood—are not fixed in place, and neither can stand on its own. Together, these contrasting materials support one another, creating a distinctive balance and presence.
