時間を定量的な「情報」として捉える従来の時計とは異なり、ST CLOCK は、時間の解像度を下げ、素材同士の響き合いによって空間との繋がりを持たせます。ST CLOCKを象徴するのが、精密な切削技術により90度に立ち上がる構造体として制作された 真鍮製の針です。この針は、光を受け止め本体に影を落とし、本体の素材を映しとることで、空間と関係性を持ちます。
本体の制作は、重厚感がある家具や異素材をテーマにした家具を制作している佐々木家具造形研究所。彼との対話を経て、チークの中でも希少かつ高品質な、ミャンマーチーク無垢材から削り出された質量ある立体として仕上がりました。形状の情報を削ぎ落とすことにより素材の持つ情報と時間の奥行きを引き出します。工業的な精緻さと、手による有機的なプロセスを内包したオブジェクト。 ST CLOCK W1は卓上にも、壁にも設置できる仕様となっています。

Unlike conventional clocks that perceive time as quantitative “information,” ST CLOCK lowers the resolution of time, forming a connection with the surrounding space through the resonance between materials.
At its core is a brass hand—crafted as a structural element rising at a precise 90-degree angle through fine machining. Catching light, it casts shadows onto the body and subtly mirrors the character of the material, allowing it to engage with the space around it.
The body is crafted by Sasaki research institute, known for creating substantial furniture and works that explore mixed materials. Through our dialogue with him, the clock was shaped from a solid block of rare, high-quality Myanmar teak, resulting in a weighty, three-dimensional form. By reducing the form to its essentials, it reveals the inherent qualities of the material and the depth of time held within it.
An object that embodies both industrial precision and organic, handcrafted processes, ST CLOCK W1 is designed for tabletop placement or wall mounting.
